Transcription and Translation

Sure Languages provide precise, high-quality and timely transcription services in over 100 languages.  Working with a variety of formats, such as audio tape, DVD, CD, MP3, MP4 and WAV files, our team of professional linguists transcribe and translate audio and video files for a diverse spectrum of companies. 


Process

Providing a transcript of audio/video in a different language has two key stages.  Firstly, one of our native-speaking linguists converts the words contained in the source file into written form.  After thorough checking, the text is translated (with the source file for reference, context and style) by one of our professional mother-tongue translators.  


What does it cost?

Transcription to text is charged at £120.00 (GBP) + VAT (where applicable) per 30 minutes of source audio or video.  If the text requires subsequent translation, this is charged at our standard translation rate per language.

Prior to transcription, it is not possible to accurately know the precise volume of words to be translated.  As an approximate indication, 30 minutes of spoken audio typically contains 2500 to 7500 words depending on the language, style and number of speakers.
