Interpreting Services

Being able to accurately convert one language to another in a live situation requires quick-thinking, sector expertise and real talent.  Because of this, each and every one of our interpreters has a significant amount of interpreting experience and a high level of relevant linguistic education.

With services tailed to each industry, Sure Languages only provides its clients with professional interpreters who have considerable sector experience.  For example, we won’t send a medical interpreter to your engineering conference.  Our interpreters are available for almost any situation, including conferences, court hearings, business situations and events.

Types of Interpreting

Simultaneous Interpreting is where the interpreting occurs as the source language speaker speaks.  The interpreter will often sit in a sound-proof booth and instantly formulates what is being said into the target language.  There are no pauses in simultaneous interpreting and this type is more common in large events, such as international conferences.

Consecutive interpreting is where the interpreter speaks after the source language speaker pauses or has finished.  The interpreter listens and makes notes before rendering the message in the target language.  This type of interpreting is more common in smaller group situations.
